Dan Turner is originally from New London, Connecticut. He has been in the Silver City area since November of 2014. His love for copper and making copper jewelry started when he wanted to work with metal on a smaller scale, combining his metalworking knowledge with his interest in art. Inspiration for his creative pieces comes from the process itself.
Repoussé or repoussage is a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is ornamented or shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief.
